Courses and Course Guide

OLLI offers approximately 300 courses each year in many different areas such as history, art and architecture, science, business/economics/finance, and world cultures, just to name a few. Courses typically meet once per week for eight weeks in the fall, six weeks in the winter, seven weeks in the spring, and four weeks in the summer. You must be an OLLI member to request/register for courses.

Where is the current Course Guide?

The current Course Guide is available online only to current members. Why? To help ensure that only dues-paying OLLI members attend OLLI courses.

Where are back Issues of Insights and Course Guides?

Past issues are available to both members and nonmembers. For more information on past courses and past issues of Insights or the Course Guide, click here: Insights and Course Guides.

How do we enroll in classes?

OLLI utilizes the Course Allocation Model for registration, not “first come, first served.” Members first “request” courses. Next an algorithm, or “allocation," is run on courses with more requests than seats. Then members are notified of the courses in which they are enrolled. Finally, members may elect to enroll in more courses for which there is available seating. See the chart below for an overview of the Allocation model.
